I received my Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Adelaide in 2021, where I explored the physical nature of Earth’s lower crust through both lab experiments and large-scale magnetotelluric field studies. As part of my research, I was tasked with maintaining a fork of the Global Heat Flow Database and building an interactive web application to publish it using a modern web framework. That experience sparked my interest in web development and database management within a research context, especially in helping other researchers navigate the same challenges.
In 2022, I joined the Library and Information Services at GFZ, where I now manage the official Global Heat Flow Database for the International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC). As part of the World Heat Flow Database Project, I’ve continued developing web-based tools with the support of an international research community. My goal is to demonstrate how modern frameworks can power research databases and to build reusable tools that others can adapt for their own projects.
