Abstract #

The purpose of this project is the thermal characterization of the deep geothermal boreholes, located in the North German Basin in northern Germany. This includes borehole temperature logging and the determination of thermal rock properties. Finally, heat flow is calculated and evaluated.

Introduction #

A local municipality intends to use geothermal energy for district heating.

Objectives #

Understanding the background thermal field as baseline for a complex site characterization for a geothermal dublett.

Expected Output #

"1) Borehole temperature data
2) Therma conductivity characterization
3) Heat flow calculation"
